Teen injured in shooting

A teenager was seriously wounded in a shooting that happened Sunday afternoon in the 600 block of Carolina Road.

The 17-year-old male remained hospitalized in critical condition as of Monday afternoon, according to a city press release.

The shooting was reported at 2:01 p.m. Sunday, according to the press release. The teen was airlifted to a hospital with injuries believed to be life-threatening, the release stated.

The incident is still under investigation.
