The Bulldogs boys’ soccer season ended last week with the team’s matchup with Warhill High School.
The Bulldogs finished their season with the 2-0 loss at home. The team played strong defense but just couldn’t muster up much on the offensive side of the ball. They were one of two Suffolk boys’ soccer teams that had advanced to the regional playoffs this season.
Coach Michel Bile’ said that he liked the way his team competed all season. The biggest thing they wanted to improve on was team chemistry, and he felt like they had done that.
“We lost some games we could have won that could have put us in a better spot in the playoffs, but overall I liked how we competed,” he said. “I like what I see, especially with our upcoming JV players.”
The seniors were a key part of the success the Bulldogs had this season. Most of them were starters and were a big part of the team’s leadership, but it doesn’t stop there for the Bulldogs. For what they will return and add for next season, Bile’ wants to take the team bonding aspect up a notch.
