Willie Beatrice Hargrove, 98, of Marshall Avenue, Suffolk, transitioned Thursday, May 30, 2018, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Willie D. Hargrove and Alice Alexander. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chiner Hargrove; and son, Chiner Earl Hargrove.

She attended public school in Warren County, N.C. She was a member of Tabernacle Christian Church, where she was a member of Choir No. 2, Senior Usher Board, Senior Choir, Willing Workers, Parental Club, Tabernacle Seekers, active member of the Sunday school and the Food Bank.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Delois Hart, of Suffolk; son, Willie C. Hargrove (Vivian), of South Plainfield, N.J.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at noon, Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Metropolitan Baptist Church. Bishop Carlton R. Upton Sr. will deliver the message of comfort. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
