The Tidewater Builders Association has released details on its upcoming Homearama event this fall.
The annual showcase of custom-built, fully landscaped and furnished homes will take place at the Creeks at Nansemond in the Nansemond River Estates community, according to a press release. The popular event will take place from noon to 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays, Oct. 12-28.
Mayor Linda T. Johnson previously announced Homearama during the State of the City event on May 8.
There are currently seven homes and six builders. BlackTip Associates, Breland Builders, Brooks Enterprises, Eagle Construction of VA and East Cost Development all will participate. Les Ore will pull triple duty as the chairman of the event and also the builder of two homes with his company, Ore Builders.
This community will provide a wide range of home price points and will feature the bonus of waterfront, as well as interior, lots. Pricing starts at $450,000 for homes built on the interior lots. For those homes constructed on waterfront lots, the prices start at $600,000.
“Suffolk is proud to be home to so many outstanding residential areas,” Johnson stated in a press release. “We are thrilled that Homearama and Tidewater Builders Association returned to Suffolk, and we are eager to showcase all the charms of Nansemond Rivers Estates.”
The site offers large lots, features a dock and pavilion ideal for fishing, picnics and relaxing. It is one mile from Sleepy Hole Golf Course, and a 10-minute commute to I-664, Route 17/Harborview Corridor, or Route 58.
“TBA is so proud to be part of the growth and revitalization going on in the city of Suffolk,” Ore stated. “The possibilities here are endless.”
A one-day pass is $10, and children 12 and younger are free. Discount coupons, maps and more information will be available on the show website, www.homearama.tv.
