William “Bu” Harris, 48, of White Marsh Road, transitioned Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was the son of Mary V. Harris and William H. Stephen Jr.

“Bu” was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and an entrepreneur.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Cary Boone-Harris; mother, Mary V. Harris; father, William H. Stephen Jr.; two daughters, LaTiia Harris and Ayanna Harris; stepdaughter, Jasmine Butts, all of Suffolk; stepson, Kevin Butts Jr., and godson, Mart “Ty”’ Harris Jr., both of Suffolk; five sisters, Darareen “Lady” Harris (Vic), Krystal Stephen, Kriscena Stephen, Beatrice Johnson and Tina Lassiter, all of Suffolk; three brothers, Quinton Harrell (Yulonda), of Charlottesville, Anthony “BA” Harris and Mart “Fat Cat” Harris (Cherelle), both of Suffolk; grandchild, Phoenix “Duck” Fulston; six nieces, six nephews, and five great-nieces, a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2018, in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. The family will receive family and friends at 1234 Sierra Drive, Suffolk. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
