Catherine Quate, 76, passed away on July 19, 2018, in Suffolk. Cathy was born in Jackson, Miss., to the late Olivia Holt and Glenn Holt. She was predeceased by her husband, Boyd Edward Quate, and her sister, Glenda Raye Holt.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Rebecca (David), Lou (Ron), Debra (George); and son, Robert Edward. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Gabriella, Duncan, RJ (Natalie), Jessica (Justin), and Tammy (Rob), and Eva; and great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Franklin Presbyterian Church, 405 Lee St., Franklin, VA 23851, with the Rev. Julie Sterling officiating. A reception will follow the services in the fellowship hall in Franklin Presbyterian Church. A private burial will take place at a later date.
