Clark takes advantage of playing time

King’s Fork High School alumnus Chuck Clark has been taking advantage of more minutes on the field with the Baltimore Ravens this preseason.

In his second year playing in the preseason, Clark has had the opportunity to play a lot more. As a safety, Clark is behind Tony Jefferson. Jefferson usually starts but currently is trying to make his way back from injury.

The Ravens think highly of Clark, and after being drafted in the sixth round last season, Clark certainly hopes he plays beyond his draft status.

Against the Indianapolis Colts Monday night, Clark received another start and finished the game with three tackles. His coaches have stated that even though he doesn’t start, the team can find ways to get him on the field more with different packages.

As long as others are out with injuries, the team knows the former King’s Fork High School and Virginia Tech standout can step up and produce.

Clark and the Ravens have another preseason game this Saturday against the Miami Dolphins.
