The Lady Warriors field hockey team finished its first week 2-0.

The field hockey season is under way, and the Lady Warriors have wasted no time. They opened the season Wednesday against Deep Creek High School and put together a 10-0 win. They followed up the 10-0 win with a 1-0 win over Smithfield High School on Thursday. Last season, the Lady Warriors lost to Smithfield, but they were able to grab the win this time around.

Halle Fago scored the only goal of the Smithfield game. Nansemond River High School will now face Menchville High School at home at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
