Estella V. Jones, 88, entered into eternal rest on Aug. 22, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Lillian Wood, and wife of the late Alex Jones. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Wood, Joe Wood, George Wood and John Wood; sisters, Martha Morings, Elizabeth Green and Emma Cross.

A wake will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2018 in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. She will lie in repose starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, at East End Baptist Church. A celebration of life will be held noon Wednesday, Aug. 29 at East End Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
