Suffolk police have arrested a Suffolk man on charges of abduction and kidnapping following a Sunday night incident.

Jacob Michael Freiburger, 42, is charged in the attempted kidnapping, according to a city press release.

The incident was reported at 9:47 p.m., the press release stated. Two men attempted to abduct an adult female in the 1800 block of Lakeside Drive. Officers responded to the scene and spoke with the woman, who reported that the suspect drove up in a vehicle and attempted to pull her into the vehicle. She broke free and ran toward her home.
