God has given us a purpose and a gift in life and whatever it is, we should all use our gift wisely.

I started writing at the very early age of 9, and since then my imagination and creativity took off soaring. My parents were amazed about my imagination when it came to putting words together. You know how some kids drew little stick figures and dressed them us with those funny little outfits on paper? Well, instead of the drawing part, I was the writer always creating something.

By 2012, I published my first book, titled “A Collection of God’s Word and Motivation.” Both of my parents encouraged me to publish my first book, and I proceeded with researching publishing companies.

I always knew I was called to write; I just never knew when I was going to publish my first book. Whatever you are craving in life or want to become, it’s never too late to start. I hear about elder men and women going back to school to obtain either their associate or bachelor’s degree. When you have that burning desire to do something, just go for it, because nothing is ever promised. We have to learn not to take life for granted, because a lot of people live life thinking things are handed down to them, but we have to work hard at what we want out of life.

For people who desire to start their own business and wonder when is the right time, the time is now. We can’t sit back and wait for the “perfect” opportunity, because no day is ever promised and time doesn’t wait on anyone.

I graduated college back in 2009 and thought about going to graduate school to get my master’s, but I always changed my mind about what to major in. it went from psychology, to criminal justice, to business then to English. I wasted so many years trying to figure out what to major in, and I would never finish what I started. So as of this year, I finally decided that getting my master’s in journalism would be the best thing for me, because I have a strong passion for writing, and I enjoy writing articles for magazines and newspapers. I am now welcoming Regent University into my heart and mind. So, I encourage you to stop thinking about it and start now.
