The Lakeland High School field hockey team defeated Grassfield High School at home Wednesday afternoon.

Sydney Beale scored the only goal of the game as they shut out Grassfield 1-0. Kaleigh Bell was credited with the shutout.

Lakeland will face Booker T. Washington High School on the road at 4:30 p.m. Monday.
