Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

Keonte’ Cobb, junior, Nansemond River High School football: Cobb had six sacks in the Warriors’ win over Hickory High School.

Sydney Beale, senior, Lakeland High School field hockey: Beale scored the team’s only goal in a 1-0 win over Grassfield High School.

Leo Wethington, junior, King’s Fork High School football: Wethington rushed for more than 150 yards and scored three touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ win over Western Branch High School.
