The King’s Fork High School emergency shelter will close at 2 p.m. Friday, according to a city press release.

The closure decision was made based on the Tropical Storm Warning being lifted and the mandatory evacuation order rescinded.

The Emergency Operations Call Center also has ceased phone operations. The Suffolk Police Department non-emergency number is 923-2350.
