Due to additional time built into the school year, Suffolk Public School students will not have to make up any days missed due to Hurricane Florence.
Because of anticipated effects of the hurricane, students missed Sept. 12-14. The school division allows for nine missed days of school because of additional hours built into the school calendar.
If additional days are missed because of inclement weather past the nine built in, the School Board will decide the makeup schedule, according to division spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw.
