“I will extol You, my God, O King, and I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever.” —Psalm 145

If I would ask the question, “Do you pray?” would you say, “I pray every day, several times a day?” If I asked the question, “Do you praise the Lord every day?” would your answer be the same as the first?

We should make it a habit to pray and praise God each and every day.

There are times when we don’t always pray nor praise God. It seems like we allow other things to get in our way, or come before these spiritual disciplines. When this happens, we can be missing out on an opportunity to bless the Lord and help others.

The Psalmist shares with us that he will bless the Lord and pray to him. Regardless of what’s going on in his life, he shows that he has made it a daily habit. Praying and praising God are good habits, while bad habits try to creep in our lives.

Why is it so hard to incorporate these elements in our lives to become daily habits?

Let us remember to:

  • Talk to God each day
  • Tell Him how great He really is
  • Try to have a forgiving heart

Allow these good habits to be in your everyday life, and watch your life blossom. Watch your life transform into the person who prospers inside and out.
