Police seek would-be burglar

Suffolk Police are seeking the public’s assistance locating a subject wanted in connection with an attempted residential breaking and entering that occurred Wednesday evening.
Emergency Communications received an alarm call at approximately 7:47 p.m. regarding a breaking and entering in progress at a residence in the 8100 block of Lee Hall Avenue in the Hampton Roads Crossing neighborhood, according to a city press release.
The subject fled the scene when the alarm sounded.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the subject, described in the press release as a young black male wearing a black or brown jacket with a burgundy hoodie underneath, white or light colored pants, white socks and black flip-flops or “slides.”
Police released surveillance photos of the suspect to aid in identifying him.
