Louis O. King, 90, affectionately known as “Jack,” passed away on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was born on Jan. 17, 1928 to the late Ceclia Urqhart and James Cherry in Windsor, N.C.

Louis leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Louis King, Alton King, Terrance King, Gregory King, Janet Hodges, Barbara Bagner, Cindy Richards, Letitia King, Orlando Bryant and Effeem Byrant; stepson, Anthony Gamble; and a host of other family and friends.

Mr. King’s visitation will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. A funeral will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018, at the funeral home chapel, and he will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
