Police investigate armed robbery

Suffolk Police are investigating an armed robbery of a gas station that happened Friday night.
The robbery was reported at 11:15 p.m. Friday from the Speedway in the 1500 block of Holland Road, according to a city press release. Preliminary investigation found that an unidentified black male displayed a handgun and took an undetermined amount of currency, the release stated.
There were no injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further information was available for release, the press release stated. Surveillance video footage has not yet been released.
