Lawrence Lyle Remington

Master Chief Petty Officer Lawrence Lyle Remington, U.S. Navy, retired, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 26, 2018. Born March 28, 1941, in New York, he was a son of the late Harold Earl Remington and Gladys Benjamin Remington.

Lawrence honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy, retiring after 30 years of service. After retirement, he served as a captain at Western Tidewater Regional Jail in Suffolk, retiring after diligently working there for 11 years. Lawrence was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years, Soonja Kim Remington; his daughter, Denise Remington-Hereford; his son, David Remington; and his grandsons, Ethan Remington and Logan Hereford.
