Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

Nylah Young, senior, King’s Fork High School girls’ basketball: Young had 33 points and 12 rebounds in a Lady Bulldogs win over Indian River High School. She also earned her 1,000th point.

Clint Wright Jr., junior, Lakeland High School boys’ basketball: Wright scored 21 points in the Cavs’ win over Hickory High School.

Justin Fatherly, senior, Nansemond River High School Boys’ basketball: Fatherly scored 22 points in the Warriors’ win over Deep Creek High School.
