Zac Morris and Nic Psimas made their college commitments official with a signing Wednesday afternoon.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy will have two baseball players going to play at the NCAA Division I level. Over the summer, Psimas and Morris committed to their respective schools. Psimas will head to Virginia Tech to play baseball, while Morris will be playing at Virginia Military Institute.

Both players are happy to have the opportunity to play Division I baseball and also officially wrap up their recruitment.

“It’s definitely a huge stress relief,” Morris said. “I just feel like all my hard work since I was a little kid has paid off. Just glad I get to be able to play the sport I love for the next couple of years.”

“It feels great,” Psimas said. “It has been a long process, and I’ve been waiting this day for a while.”

NSA baseball Coach Joey Seal was proud to see his two seniors also get the opportunity to play college baseball. He described it as a great feeling to see his players realize their hard work has paid off.

“We are excited for Nic and Zac,” Seal said. “Both have worked incredibly hard to become the players and young men that they are. Nic and Zac have been a huge reason why this program is trending in the right direction right now. I couldn’t be more thrilled for both the Morris and Psimas families.”
