Shooting victim in serious condition

The victim of a Wednesday morning shooting remains hospitalized in serious condition, according to police officials.
The man has been identified as Haskel Wilbert Wilson Jr., 54, of Suffolk, a city press release stated.
Police reported he was shot just before noon Wednesday in the 200 block of Columbus Avenue in the South Suffolk neighborhood.
An adult male suspect was in custody on Wednesday, but the suspect has not yet been identified publicly by police. No further details are available for release, the city has stated.
