Two students have been caught with knives on school property this week.

King’s Fork Middle School was advised that a student had a weapon on school property on Dec. 10. According to city spokesman Tim Kelley, the student had a knife on the school bus, but the student did not issue any threats.

The school will not be prosecuting the student. The offense will be handled administratively.

Just two days later, Suffolk police were notified of a knife found at the Suffolk SECEP location at John F. Kennedy Middle School. According to Kelley, an administrator found a knife inside a student’s book bag.

Like the previous incident, there were no threats made and no one was injured.

A petition was obtained for the student on a charge of possession of a weapon on school property.
