NSA tops Atlantic Shores

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s boys’ basketball team defeated Atlantic Shores Christian School Friday evening.
NSA hosted Atlantic Shores for the first matchup of the NSA Holiday Classic, which features four teams. The Saints defeated Atlantic Shores 61-41 for their fifth win of the season.
After one quarter, the game was tied at 10-10. Over the next two quarters, NSA ramped up defensively, not allowing Atlantic Shores to score more than nine points in either quarter. Defensively, they also didn’t allow a single player to score in double figures.
In the fourth quarter, NSA put the icing on the cake, taking their record to 5-1 with a 20-point win. Kaleb Brown had 14 points and seven rebounds to lead the Saints, while Kemauri Spencer added 12. NSA had four players in double figures, with Grant Lopez and George Pettaway adding 10 points each.
NSA will be at Atlantic Shores next week, as they will play in a holiday tournament.
