Suffolk Police are seeking a suspect they say shot at a couple in their car as they returned home on Dec. 8.

Yasir Malik Smith, 20, of Norfolk, is being sought on charges of shooting missiles at an occupied vehicle, two counts of using a firearm in commission of a felony, and two counts of attempting to commit a non-capital offense.

The couple told police they had arrived at their home on Bennetts Meadow Lane in the early morning hours and noticed someone inside their other vehicle. They opened the garage door, and the unknown subject reportedly jumped out of the vehicle and fired at their car before leaving the scene, the couple told police.
