Edna Lee Linton

Edna Lee Linton, 86, of Kilby Avenue, Suffolk, transitioned Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Martha Gibbs-Young and Larry Young. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie B. Linton.
She was a graduate of East Suffolk High School, and in 1997 she retired from Planters Peanut Company after 40 years of faithful and dedicated service. She attended St. Phillips Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a member of Saratoga Civic League and of Local 26 Retirement Club.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Vera Linton, of Suffolk; four sons, Willie Linton (Arlene), of Chesapeake, Calvert Linton (Pandora), of Charlotte, N.C., Garrett Linton, of Suffolk, and Paxton Linton (Montoya), of Chesapeake; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation with family will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, in the Melvin J. Blowe Chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at St. Phillips Pentecostal Holiness Church. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
