Five displaced in fire

Five people were displaced from their home following a residential structure fire early Tuesday morning.
Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded to the scene in the 2500 block of Cedar Lake Drive after a 911 call at 1:30 a.m., according to a city press release.
Crews arrived at 1:41 a.m. and found a one-story residence with heavy smoke coming from the home, the press release stated. Crews entered the home and found heavy fire in the rear of the residence. The fire was contained to the room of origin and marked under control at 2:27 a.m.
Three adults and two children were displaced, and the American Red Cross will provide assistance, the press release stated.
No injuries were reported.
The fire was determined to be electrical in nature, the release stated.
