One man was injured in a crash between his car and a Norfolk Southern train early Thursday morning.

Suffolk Police are investigating the crash, which happened about 12:45 a.m. at the crossing at Saratoga and Smith streets, according to a city press release.

Officers found the man, the sole occupant of the vehicle, suffering from injuries not considered life-threatening. He was taken to a local hospital.

The incident remains under investigation. No additional information was available for release.
