A memorial service to celebrate the life of Phyllis Harrill Stancill Pruden will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at Main Street United Methodist Church, 202 N. Main St., Suffolk. A reception will follow in the church atrium.

Mrs. Pruden, a 50-year resident of Suffolk, a retired teacher who taught at several Suffolk schools and a mother of five, passed away Dec. 6 in Chesapeake. She was 96 and had lived a full and blessed life. Interment will be private at a later date. Condolences may be offered atRWBakerFH.com.
