NSA dominates in seventh straight win

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s girls’ basketball team dominated Peninsula Catholic School for its seventh win in a row Friday night.
The Lady Saints took the show on the road for the second time in a week. NSA pushed its record to 9-4 with a 65-14 win over Peninsula Catholic and also swept a nice week for NSA as they went 3-0.
The Lady Saints blew to a 25-point lead, scoring that many points in the opening quarter and not allowing a single point to Peninsula Catholic in the first quarter. At halftime, NSA held a 33-2 lead. In the second half, it was all NSA as they closed the game out with a 51-point margin. It was second time they had a 40-plus-point win in the past three games.
Cammy Reid led the way with 18 points for the Lady Saints. Alivia Giles scored 15 points and grabbed 15 rebounds.
NSA will take on Norfolk Christian School on the road at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
