The Lady Warriors got their sixth win of the season after a close win over Grassfield on the road last Friday.

After beating Grassfield 41-28 back in December, the Nansemond River High School girls’ basketball team defeated Grassfield 44-42 the second time around.

The Lady Warriors led 23-15 at halftime. In the second half, they were able to continue to hold on to their lead, despite a strong push from Grassfield.

Taylor Paquette led the way again for the Lady Warriors with 19 points, with Ashlee Robertson adding 10.

The Lady Warriors will take on Oscar Smith High School Friday night at home.
