Bulldogs roll past Huguenot

King’s Fork High School took a 90-72 win over Huguenot High School last Saturday at home.

King’s Fork headlined their showcase last Saturday in a matchup with Richmond-area Huguenot. It was a solid win for the Bulldogs, who have won five of their last six games. The win put their record at 13-3 on the season.

Both teams came out with a strong first quarter, with the Bulldogs holding a slight 29-24 lead. Keontae Boyette added 10 points, with George Beale adding seven of his own points. A run by the Bulldogs in the second quarter pushed their lead a little further.

In the second half, the Bulldogs ran away to score their highest total so far this season.

As a team, the Bulldogs have been showing they can put up big numbers offensively. They have 13 games where they have scored at least 70 points. Boyette finished with 32 points, with Beale scoring 23.

Boyette had six rebounds and four assists, and Beale added seven rebounds.

King’s Fork will take on Grassfield High School on the road at 7 p.m. Friday.
