Late tip-in gives Saints a loss

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy boys’ basketball team took a tough one-point road loss to Bishop Sullivan Catholic School on Tuesday night.

The 59-58 loss was NSA’s fifth of the season. In the most recent state poll, NSA came into the game with the No. 8 ranking in Division II, with Bishop Sullivan having a No. 10 ranking in Division I.

NSA had a 29-20 lead at halftime, but a tip-in as time expired in the fourth quarter gave Bishop Sullivan the win.

Kemauri Spencer led the Saints with 20 points, with Kaleb Brown adding 17. The Saints will quickly have to put the loss behind them as they will take on another conference opponent in Norfolk Academy at home at 7 p.m. Thursday.
