Lady Warriors fall in close one

The Nansemond River High School girls’ basketball team fell 57-54 Tuesday night at home against Great Bridge High School.
The Lady Warriors battled with Great Bridge but lost a close one. With the win, Great Bridge took the season series with the Lady Warriors. In the last matchup, Nansemond River fell 58-42. Taylor Paquette went for a team-high 19 points. McKinlee Goodloe added 10 points as well.
Nansemond River is now 6-12 on the season and is a young team that’s continuing to get better every time they step on the court. The Lady Warriors will get a chance to bounce back against Indian River High School Friday night. That was another close matchup the first time around, with the Lady Warriors falling 46-41.
