Pansy Talton Aston

Pansy Talton Aston, 83, passed away Jan. 31, 2019. She was born in Johnston County, N.C., the daughter of the late Lloyde Chester Talton Sr. and Irene Rose Talton. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Donald Kent Aston; sisters, Marylee Phelps, Nell Sanderlin; brothers, Roy West, Eugene and Buck Talton. Pansy was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church and the Molly Savage Circle. At the church, she served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher and was “Mother of the Year” in 2005. Pansy was also a member of the Bethlehem Ruritan Club and served with Meals on Wheels.

Pansy is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda Boyce (Chuck), Donna Pruitt (Tommy), Denna Aston; grandchildren and their spouses, Heather Hollemon (Clay), Jonathan Thompson (Angie), Christine Drames (John), Michael Boyce (Brittany); great-grandchildren, Drew, Riley, Taylor, Blair, Jayce, Kentley and Blakely; step-great-grandchildren, Parker, Ethan, Aston and Christian; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie Bailey (Rollis Jr.), Polly Kelly (A.D.); brother and sister-in-law, Cecil Talton (Regina); brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carl Aston (Wanda), Margaret Aston; numerous nieces and nephews; and granddogs, Lil Duster and Prescious.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, at Bethlehem Christian Church with the Rev. Matt Winters and the Rev. Dan Wickert officiating. Burial will follow the service at 2 p.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a visitation Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at Pansy’s residence.
