Bulldogs take win over Great Bridge

The Bulldogs boys’ basketball team ended a two-game skid with a road win over Great Bridge High School Tuesday night.
The King’s Fork High School boys’ basketball team drew tough matchups last week. They took on Western Branch High School and then went on the road to take on Oscar Smith High School. Both games ended in tough losses for the Bulldogs. King’s Fork grabbed a 77-67 win against Great Bridge.
Keontae Boyette led the Bulldogs with 19 points, with George Beale adding 18. Tyler Chatman chipped in 13 points, giving the Bulldogs three scorers in double-figures.
The Bulldogs will host Nansemond River High School Friday night for the last matchup with the Warriors. King’s Fork took the first meeting at Nansemond River 70-66. At 15-5, King’s Fork can continue to solidify its positioning in the region. Expect another intense game between the two rivals as the regular season comes to an end early next week.
