Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

• Nic Psimas, senior, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy swimming: Psimas won two gold medals in the Division II meet, which led to him being named the male Swimmer of the Meet.
• Selby Heyman, junior, Nansemond River High School swimming: Heyman qualified for the state meet in two individual meets at the regional meet. She was also a part of a school record-breaking relay team.
• George Beale, freshman, King’s Fork High School basketball: Beale scored 18 points in a Bulldogs win over Great Bridge High School.
