Former King’s Fork High School basketball standouts Camary Harris and Khadedra Croker earned MEAC weekly honors recently.
Bethune-Cookman University freshman Camary Harris earned her second Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week award for the season. Her first award came back in December. Harris scored a career-high 18 points and grabbed a career-high nine rebounds in a win against Savannah State University. For the whole week, she averaged 12 points, six rebounds and four assists.
Norfolk State University redshirt senior Khadedra Croker earned her eighth MEAC Defensive Player of the Week award in the last two seasons. She also earned the award back in January. Croker averaged four blocks over two games for NSU in a 1-1 record against North Carolina Central and North Carolina A&T. In two seasons, Croker has had seven games of at least six blocks.
NSU and BCU have played each other twice this season, with each team splitting a matchup. Croker scored 12 points in the first meeting, which was a win for NSU. Harris had seven points in BCU’s win in the second meeting.
Both Harris and Croker were very productive in their time at King’s Fork. Croker went over 1,000 points for her career, while Harris helped lead King’s Fork to its first state title appearance.
