Anita D. McDowell, a former resident of Suffolk, was called home by the Lord on Feb. 28, 2019. Anita’s family and friends will gather for a memorial service from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2019, at Laurel Hill United Church of Christ, 8001 South Quay Road. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her grandchildren’s college funds in her memory (please contact the family).
