A 10-run inning by the Warriors helped lead them to a 13-5 win over Grassfield High School on the road Thursday.

The Warriors earned 10 runs in the second inning, including five singles and a double. A late push by Grassfield in the fifth inning stopped the bleeding a bit, but the Warriors added two more runs in the final inning to secure the win.

Caleb Pittman got the win on the mound, striking out five in three innings. Nansemond River had 12 hits, with Gavin Gregory and Clay Grady each leading the way with three each. Gregory and Chris Mitchell both added doubles.
