King’s Fork High School senior Keontae Boyette was selected to the first team on the Class 4 All-State teams.

After a strong senior campaign for King’s Fork, Boyette completed the trifecta of accolades. He was a first team All-District performer and Player of the Year, first team All-Region performer and first team All-State performer.

Boyette was excited about the accomplishment and reiterated how thankful he is that coaches statewide recognized his hard work.

“I am very blessed,” he said. “I’m glad to see that coaches around the state are respecting my grind and the work I put in.”

Boyette averaged 19.6 points per game this season. He had multiple games of 20-plus points and 30-plus points, with 37 being his season high. The senior also helped the Bulldogs to a No. 2 seed in the region and helped the Bulldogs advance to the region semifinals game.

He credited his teammates for helping him achieve the accolades he received this season.

“They push me in practice every single day,” he said. “And at times when I have it going during the game, they continue to look for me. I appreciate them; they are like my brothers.”

He also gave credit to Coach Rick Hite, who he says helped take his game to the next level.

“Coach Hite has made me a better player on and off the court my two years there,” he said. “He stressed the little things to me, like defending at a high level and taking charges. He always showed a high level of confidence in me.”

Boyette’s next step will be to play college basketball. Right now, he is weighing his options.
