Cecilia M. Carson of Ashford Drive, Suffolk, transitioned to her heavenly home on March 21, 2019. She was born to Charlie and Dorothy Picott on April 7, 1939, in Carrsville.

During her youth, Cecilia graduated from Isle of Wight County Training School. She was a member of Pulaski Baptist Church in Carrsville, where she served on the Deaconess Ministry.

Cecilia is survived by her husband, Earl N. Carson; five daughters, Natalie Woodard (Dane), Cherie Baker, Dorothy McCalla (Michael), Debra Henson (Michael) and Marsha Baker; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, cousins and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019, Pulaski Baptist Church, 6431 Carrsville Highway, Carrsville, with the pastor, the Rev. Dr. R.E. Rodgers, delivering the words of comfort.

At the family’s request, all houseplant tributes given in honor of Mrs. Carson will be accepted at the funeral home or 31471 Cecelia’s Lane in Carrsville. Wm. M.
