Betty Lee Hall White of the 1900 block of Carolina Road, Suffolk, transitioned on Thursday, March 28, 2019, in Petersburg. On Feb. 25, 1950, she married her childhood sweetheart and remained the faithful wife of Vernon T. White for 69 years, and to this union were born five children. Betty saw the individual gifting in each of her children and sought to help shape them for the future. She was a pioneer (1966) at the General Electric Company and remained an employee until its closing in 1986. Following her early retirement, she enjoyed a life of leisure and attending the activities of her grandchildren.
