Robert A. Walton passed away on March 31, 2019. He was the son of the late Robert Harold and Sylvia Walton. He is predeceased by his daughter, Rebecca Maples, and two sisters.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 64 years, Annie “Billye”; children, Sylvia Coffee, of San Francisco, and husband, David, and Robert Harold Walton, of Suffolk; grandchildren, Monica Maples, Ann Marie Walton and Robert Todd Walton; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. He was a forester retired from Union Camp after 49 years. He was also president of the Resident Council at Lake Prince Woods for five years.

A memorial service with military honors will be conducted by the Rev. Gary Newsome at 3 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2019, in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, VA 23434. Condolences may be registered at RWBakerFH.com.
