The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy boys’ lacrosse team went to 5-4 on the season after a win over Bishop Sullivan Tuesday afternoon.
Miles Birdsong led the way for NSA with four goals in the 14-8 win over Bishop Sullivan. He also added two assists. Jackson Bolling had 12 saves on the day.
In the first boys’ lacrosse state poll, NSA came in at No. 5 last week in the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division II. A win Thursday against Norfolk Academy, ranked No. 6 in Division I, could give NSA the opportunity to move up.
The Saints will play at home at 5:15 p.m. Thursday.
