Police investigate robbery

For the second time in a week, Suffolk Police are investigating a robbery at the same convenience store.

Police were called to the 7-Eleven at 6496 Hampton Roads Parkway for a robbery at 1:01 a.m. Saturday, according to city spokesman Andy Franklin.

A black male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt entered through the front door, displayed a handgun and demanded cash, Franklin said. He fled on foot in the direction of College Drive after receiving an undetermined amount of cash.

Three employees were in the store at the time, but none of them was injured.

Police also investigated a robbery at the same 7-Eleven on Monday evening.
