Have you ever allowed something to come between you and God?

The lady said to me, “Young man, I messed up.” She said, “I let some things come between me and the Lord, and now I realize, I was wrong.”

You can’t let anything or anyone keep you from getting closer to God. No one in the world should ever come close to making you want to separate yourself from an awesome God.

However, there are times when some people do. They let people, places and sometimes things come between them and God. When this happens, people are making a big mistake. The Apostle Paul was sharing with the Romans, as he still shares with us, that God is so loving and kind, the one who keeps us from all hurt, harm and danger, to never allow anything to separate themselves from God.

In spite of any weakness that we may have, we must overcome our weakness and struggle and always continue to keep our Lord near us.

Why is it so important not to let anything separate you from God?

  • The Cross. What He did for us on the cross many years ago, we can never repay. All He asks is not to let anyone come before Him. We didn’t have to carry His cross; He carried it for us in pain and agony.
  • The Confidence. One thing is for sure: He gives us all we need. This is the trust we can have in Him, that if we ask Him for anything, He will do it. He is a Father who supplies all of our needs.
  • The Criticalness. Not allowing anyone to come between you and God is critical. He should always take first place in your heart. People don’t realize how critical it is to stay in complete relationship with the one who shed His blood for the whole world.

We can’t let anything separate us from the Lord who has gone to the cross and gave His life for us. He rose from the dead for us. For God so loved us that He gave His only Son Jesus, that we might have a right to eternal life.

Our mind has to be made up. We have to be “all in” as we travel this road toward Heaven. You can’t let anything deter you. Don’t let anything stop you. You have come too far to turn around. Keep going and looking unto Jesus, who is the Author and Finisher of our faith. You are special to Him!
