Lady Bulldogs shut out Lakeland

The King’s Fork High School softball team took a 12-0 win over rival Lakeland High School last Saturday.
The Lady Bulldogs were able to get the best of the Lady Cavs in a make-up game. It took only five innings for the Lady Bulldogs to get the job done. King’s Fork scored all of its 12 runs in the first two innings, with seven in the first inning.
Cali Hinnant pitched a complete game, striking out 10. She also went 3-3 from the plate with an RBI.
Amaya Allen went 2-3 with two RBIs and also added a double and a triple. Five Lady Bulldogs had at least two hits as King’s Fork snapped a two-game losing streak.
Lakeland will face Western Branch High School at home at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. King’s Fork will face Grassfield High School at home at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
