Dora O. Banks, 79, of Mineral Spring Road, Suffolk, transitioned Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Pearlie Ophelia Golden White and Joe David White. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lee Banks, and daughter, Emma Banks.

She was a member of New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries.

She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Theodore White, of Suffolk, and many nieces, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at New Mt. Joy Food for Living Ministries. Bishop Viola Parker will deliver the message of comfort. She will be laid to rest in Langston Cemetery. The family will receive guest at the residence from 5 to 8 p.m. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home Inc.
